01What we do
Gamorelle reviews video games for players and families in the UK. We only write about games we have played properly, across many evenings, and every review gives a typical session, the latest sensible start before bed, a stop point, who can talk to you, what it sells once you are playing, comfort notes and who it suits.
02Why a programme guide?
Because the hardest part of a good gaming evening is often its end. A television guide shows when a programme starts and when it finishes; ours does the same for games, and every block finishes an hour before lights out. Seeing the end before the start makes switching off feel planned rather than forced.
03Who writes the reviews
A small team of long-time players, from puzzle and story games to action and party games, together with parents who set up the family controls on every platform we mention.
04How the site is paid for
Not by anyone in the games business. There are no adverts, affiliate links, sponsored reviews or products for sale. We host no games, run no accounts and take no payments.
05Conflicts of interest
If a reviewer has a personal or professional link to a game or studio, someone else reviews it and the review says so. We accept no gifts, trips or early access in exchange for coverage.
06The artwork
Every picture of a game’s world is an original illustration made for Gamorelle in that game’s own visual style: hand-painted ink for one, pixel art for another, soft watercolour for a third. None of it is official artwork, a screenshot or a real person. Our power-button emblem is our own.
07Why UK English?
British spelling, UK age labels and UK support services. No pop-ups, no autoplaying video or sound and no tracking.
08Corrections
